Role of Marketing
Marketing is the process of communicating the value of a product or service to consumers, for the purpose of selling a product. Marketing uses many different factors to decide what product to make or how they will sell their product. The main influence that affects marketing is consumer behavior. For example, if consumers want a certain type of snow board then the sellers are more likely to make that certain type of snow board. If the consumers want something more than another it will sell. Companies need to analyse what, where, when, why, and how consumers buy. Understanding consumer behavior is essential to the development of marketing strategies especially pricing, product, design, targeting, positioning, and promotion. Companies that don't do this will most likely fail.
